PLAY LEAGUE TENNIS NOW

Lakewood Tennis Association offers a full range of league play throughout the season, to meet new tennis players and play competitively within your skill level. These include USTA Mixed Doubles, USTA Adult, CTA Super Seniors (61+), CTA Daytime Doubles, USA Senior (50+), CTA Twilite, CTA Fall Daytime, and ITA Fall Mixed Doubles.

League play runs from April through September of each year, with more specialized competitions on various levels at home and around the country offered year round.

HOW TO GET STARTED

To get started playing in a league you should contact your representative and come to a monthly LTA social. The socials are a great way to meet other players and team captains.

Once you have found an LTA team with an opening you must complete the following 3 steps:

1. JOIN THE UNITED STATES TENNIS ASSOCIATION ($25/individual)

You can join the USTA using the Internet by logging on with a click here or by calling 1-800-990-USTA. The cost is $25.00 and must be charged to a major credit card. You will receive your permanent USTA number at that time (save it). This number will be used to register you on league teams.

You will need to know your NTRP rating to register. If you do not know your rating you can rate yourself based on these guidelines. If you want a professional rating contact Meadow Creek Tennis Club (Art at 303-232-6272) or the Gates Tennis Center, 100 S. Adams (303-355-4461) by appointment.

2. JOIN THE LAKEWOOD TENNIS ASSOCIATION ($35/individual or $45 family)

You must join the LTA before you can play in any LTA League. Membership fees, which must be paid prior to any league play, are $35 for a single, $45 for a couple or family.

3. JOIN YOUR TEAM (fee varies, confirm with your captain)

Your team fee covers miscelaneous expenses such as court fees, balls, travel expences etc. Pay your fee directly to your captain.

No league play is possible without USTA membership, Lakewood membership and team fee paid.
