A NOTE FROM THE PRESIDENT By Greg Aigner
Greetings LTA members! I'm excited to join the LTA board and help the club thrive into the future. I've been a member for 30 years and have held various board positions including social coordinator, mixed representative, and 4.0 men's representative. You also might remember a tennis trivia and advice column I wrote for a few years in The Lobber. Seven years ago, I was trained to be a Roving Umpire for USTA tournaments. It's a great way to give back to the game, make a few extra bucks, and watch some outstanding tennis up close and personal. New umpire recruits are always welcome! I'm a retired Jeffco teacher and am looking forward to promoting tennis in Lakewood at all levels. As you know, it's a great lifetime sport, and I will do my best to keep Lakewood courts maintained and available and our fees low. Hope to see you on the courts!

SOCIALS UPDATE By Benoit Cauwe
After a summer social hiatus in 2025, we were able to host summer socials this year in June, July, and August. They were held at Morse Park in Lakewood and were a huge success! Thanks to all who attended. We hope to host three summer socials again in 2027!
LTA will round out 2026 with indoor socials to be held at Denver Racquets Club in October, November, December, and New Year's Eve. The dates for these socials have not yet been established, but we will post them on the website when they are. No partner needed. You will be paired with and against players of similar level. You can register for the socials on the website under Events and Activities.
Our friends at North Jeffco Tennis Club are hosting a social at the Apex Tennis Center on September 19. Click here for more details.
